Excel Spreadsheet: Stock Price, Watch List - stewardinlife - 11-07-2015

Hi all,

Can anyone point me to, or advice on any resources or spreadsheet that would help me in looking at all of my DG stock watch lists with prices/dividends on a spreadsheet, or some other dashboards.

Currently, I am either going to M* or S & P reports from the brokerage account, and individually look at each one I am interested -- As you can tell it definitely is time consuming. Ideally I would like to see it in one view from a report or something that is providing real-time quotes.

Thanks.

Can you create a custom view for your portfolio or a watchlist on your brokers web site? Might also consider a custom view in Yahoo Finance if you use that for quotes.

Or you can create a spreadsheet and either link it or download and import. There's lots of ways to skin this cat. Google is your friend.

This one shows how to download a csv from Yahoo Finance and a little discussion on Google Docs:

Another one:

Try this out:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J2uOic20RnAg3QUDBHC0N6Fso8I0sQimNNBIoAHD8HU/edit?usp=sharing

Let me know if you need help. It's a simplified version of the tracker I built and use almost daily. Just edit the light yellow cells and nothing else.

Rasec,

Very nice spreadsheet. But how do you cope with different valuta's? I'm familiar with Excel, not with Google Docs, so I was wondering how to change dollars to euro's or canadian dollars. Smile

With this little application: http://dividendgrowthforum.com/showthread.php?tid=1316

you can create a watchlist including quotes and dividends and more. Later on after purchasing the stocks you want, you can track your portfolio and dividends income easily.

Let me know if you decide to try it and if you have any questions about it

Rasec, thanks for this. How can I edit and create a copy for my own?

File > Make a Copy > Rename and don't share with me or anyone (unless you want to share with your partner/spouse, for example).
