Hello all! - ken-do-nim - 10-09-2020
Thanks for allowing me to contribute to your investment forum. A little about me: 47 years old, divorced. I really got into dividend investing before the divorce, when the budget was tight and I realized that if I had $100,000 invested @ 5% yield, that could allow me to have a $5,000 vacation every year. Well, everything is different now. For one thing, there's nowhere to go.
But more importantly, I had to give my portfolio to the ex as part of the divorce settlement. I've only got my "sea legs" so to speak back under me this year, and I've built back up to $40k. So far I'm not in dividend stocks, because I don't need the supplemental income at the moment, but that's the end game. I look forward to discussing further strategies in the other forums.
