RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - ChadR - 02-12-2018

R2R in your dividend raises list you have that FCX cut its dividend 0%. Wasn't sure if they eliminated their dividend or kept it the same as last quarter.

Ah sorry, thats a problem with my script when the previous dividend is 0. I need to fix that.

This has been coming for a long time. AMAT has been doing exceptionally well recently and with low debt levels, the money has to go somewhere. I was expecting either a big acquisition or this... but this is more to my liking. Smile

"Applied’s Board of Directors has approved a doubling of the quarterly cash dividend on the company's common stock to $0.20 per share. The Board declared that a dividend of $0.20 per share will be payable on June 14, 2018 to shareholders of record as of May 24, 2018. As previously announced, a cash dividend of $0.10 per share will be paid on March 14, 2018 to shareholders of record as of February 21, 2018.

The Board also approved a new $6.0 billion share repurchase authorization. This new authorization is incremental to $2.8 billion remaining in the previously approved authorization."

Btw that is a total of $8.8 billion of repurchase authorizations for a company with a market cap of $55 billion... good times ahead? Wink

Just wondering what you mean by low debt levels.  Is that in relation to peers, the industry, etc?  Finviz shows their debt/equity at 0.57 and it's highlighted in red.  I've been wanting to own AMAT for years but it's that debt level that's kept me out of it.
