Does anyone know where I can get an up-to-date sector quilt of? Any free online resources?

You can select predefined date ranges for the finviz one
http://finviz.com/map.ashx?t=sec&st=ytd
I also use stockrover to chart all sectors vs the S&P benchmark ( the 0 line )

Thanks rapidacid. The finviz doesnt show the trend over the years and just shows the current performance. The one from stockrover looks better/interesting.
