ADBE - I sold my shares back in November, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it in the Taxable account. Kind of glad the price is going down ... just needs to stay down through Feb/March.

IEP - Always a temptation! That P/E of 537 though ...

This is another reason to always have a little cash, or holdings in some boring stocks you can dump and redeploy.  Valuation resets are normal and healthy.  Some great companies are going to get a beatdown sooner or later, and the market might not even crash while it's happening.  Money is starting to trickle into safer sectors that pay a dividend.  Don't know if it will last but I think the buy every dip crowd on overvalued stuff is going to be more hesitant for now.

Yeah that 537 PE your seeing is not correct. Forward PE is 42 and then 23 earnings your looking at 31. So not as bad as you think once you put in the work,

Earnings are expected to be $8.70 in 2022. If oil does even better this stock will do very well. And good old Carl may go on the acquisition trail again lol

For someone who loves high yields I'm surprised your not jumping on this one
100 shares would net you $200 in dividends per quarter. Not bad at all

One reason is I hate LPs; if I recall correctly you have to submit a schedule K with your taxes.

There is always a catch with way above market yields.  I don't choose to participate but for anyone who does, you really need to find out WHY the dividend isn't very safe so you can monitor it.  Failure to do so and you will get hurt eventually.  At some point you will likely give back years of dividends in a flash, and waiting it out usually won't fix it.  There is a middle ground I prefer to tread to spike my portfolios average yield a bit.

Doesn't matter unless its in a IRA or roth. I bought it in my personal cash account. So that doesn't affect me

Also  UBTI limit which is $1000 annually. So something to keep an eye on if you on MLP ect min your roth or IRA. This is why I only buy in a personal account. There's always a work around lol . Most of an MLP's income is from it's primary business interests, therefore, you'd have to own a ton of shares to exceed the $1K UBTI limit.
