Misplace a pitch 6 inches and every hitter has a chance of getting on base. At least half the lineup can jack it out of the park and a couple guys are highly likely to. Add some big game pressure and things happen. Just a couple well timed hits and a team has a big edge that night. A couple of your pitchers get in lights out mode and you got a shot to win a series, even if your offense is mediocre.(10-08-2021, 03:39 AM)fenders53 Wrote:(10-06-2021, 12:39 PM)ken-do-nim Wrote:There's a chance the series is wrapped up game 3 at Fenway. I believe we have Chris Sale, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Nathan Eovaldi lined up for games 1-3, so there's definitely a chance. I hope we wrap it up at Fenway on game 3 or 4!
It's funny too because I read this detailed analysis that said that even though E-Rod hasn't had great stuff this year, the team scores a lot of runs when he pitches so the team wins the most when he goes. And then a shutout.
