Clean energy Dividend stocks

The clean stocks can be tricky due to politics (i.e. dependence on subsidies). The wild swings in crude can cause extreme stress on a clean energy balance sheets. Entry point is often everything. Take a look at a 20 year chart for VWDRY. You could have a ten bagger lately, or much earlier on it would have been a a 95%+ loss and wait 15yrs to get half your capital back. Same story with a number of wind and solar startups. Step one for me is trying to figure out who will even survive the first 5-10 years as the tech evolves beyond the experimental stage.
