If ppl are not buying parts, are the sales of new cars going up?
Actually new cars sales are down so that should benefit used cars that need repairs and that will benefit companies like AZO and AAP. It's up $5 from where I bought so I will take that lol. But AAP is a great company. You have to buy the the good ones when they are down. Like NKE LOL. Everyone had that stock left for dead too and were saying too much competition and Under Armor and Adidas were taking market shares away. I'm going to say AAP is my wild card Rasec hahahaha!!

BTW has anyone been buying the oil stocks?? XOM, CVX, SLB, COP and so on. Retail and Oil are the 2 sectors that are at or near new lows. I would much rather play the oil stocks but something tells me we are headed lower. Thoughts?

Only XOM, but I'm already overweight.
I want to sell COP and KMI someday (when I'm not losing money anymore) and only keep CVX and XOM, plus Valero.

People are buying parts, just not from Advance, O'Reilly or Autozone.
They are buying them from GPC (NAPA) the real company to have in auto parts.

I'm thinking about XOM now, never had a position in it. I'm just not brave enough to pull the trigger. Company looks nice, so does the yield, but the growth is very small in recent years.

I think that's just the nature of the big oiil companies. The good years compensate for the bad years. I've owned XOM, CVX, RDS, COP, PSX, and BP for many years and am happy, even though of course the last few years have been rough.

I added a little T, a little JNJ and a slightly larger chunk of LOW.
Tried to add some BCE.TO too, however apparently they have a lot size!? WTF?! I thought no one uses that anymore. Any idea where to figure out (apart from emailing their investor relations) what their lot size is?

I sold out of Cat today after it reached my target of $110 and purchased more DE after being down over $4 from profit taking. DE is Still cheap and has a a forward PE of 17 and yield of 2%. I nearly sold that a few weeks back but decided not too. Now I'm almost out of cash lol. I have just enough to buy a beaten down retail stock. Either LB, TJX or WSM. Watching and waiting. Good buy on T and JNJ crimsonghost.

What's your target price on WSM?

I see know reason why WSM cant get back to $55+. It was at that price when they raised guidance last quarter. If you look at a 5 year chart $45 looks like a good entry. Sure it can go lower thanks to retail and being in retail ETF's. Trading at only 12 x next years earnings, no debt and and yield of almost 3.5%.
Pulled the trigger on WSM
