401K vs Brokerage
#1
For years I always utilized in order 401kplan, Roth then brokerage account. I will always max the Roth contribution but lately I've been thinking about lowering my kplan contribution down to 6% in order to receive the full company match and invest the rest in my brokerage account. The plan is to build up my DG investments.

Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I do like money growing tax deferred.

Usually, investing in 401ks and IRAs is the better choice. However, there are a few issues with such accounts.
1) If your goal is to retire earlier than 59.5 years of age, you will not have immediate access to your 401k/IRA.
2) Some company 401k plans have terrible (or at least sub par) investment choices.
