PepsiCo Inc. reported its first-quarter profit rose 13% to $1.22 billion, or 79 cents a share, from $1.08 billion, or 69 cents a share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share were 83 cents. Revenue edged up to $12.62 billion, from $12.58 billion a year earlier, the beverage company said Thursday.
